HIGHLY PURIFIED WATER F.U.

Highly Purified Water F.U. is obtained by passing Demineralised Water through ultrafiltration plants, which have the purpose of removing mineral salts and considerably reducing the microbial load.

The chemical and microbiological characteristics of this water make it suitable for use in various types of equipment and devices. This is because, being free of mineral salts, there is no risk of limescale build-up that would damage the equipment itself, as well as increase the risk of infection and the development of microorganisms.

However, due to the persistent residual microbial load, it still cannot be defined as pure and sterile water. Therefore, it cannot be used when the total absence of microorganisms is required. It must not, therefore, be used for sterile, low bacterial contamination and apyrogenic uses.
